SAN MATEO, San Mateo County — November 4, 2026. San Mateo–Foster City School District Measure W has an early Yes majority above the legally required 55% approval threshold.
What the unofficial vote shows
The county-linked tally shows 14,902 Yes votes (60.41%) and 9,765 No (39.59%).
What the measure would change
The ballot proposal is a school district bond authorization. The voter-approval threshold is 55%, according to the official county guide. The district serves a different geographic electorate from the City of San Mateo’s separate Measures F and H.
What is not yet decided
Approval would be financing authorization under the measure’s terms, not evidence that all proposed projects have already been funded or completed.
Figures reflect the November 2026 election results listing published by NBC Bay Area, not a fresh verified November 5 count. As of 4 p.m. November 4, San Mateo County estimated 130,000 ballots remained unprocessed countywide. The county scheduled another results release before 4:30 p.m. November 5 and certification for December 3.
