SAN MATEO, Calif. — October 27, 2026. San Mateo Public Library is displaying a photographic exhibit celebrating the Main Library’s 20th anniversary on its first-floor art gallery through December 27, 2026.
Details for residents and visitors
The anniversary exhibition began October 3. A separate display of historical library memorabilia is in the second-floor display case through December 28. The city says the collections provide a chance to reflect on how the community’s library and cultural programs have evolved. Visitors can combine viewing the exhibits with regular library services at the Main Library, 55 West Third Avenue.
Before you go or sign in
These are exhibitions, not a claim that the library is newly opening in 2026. Visitors should confirm building hours, gallery access and holiday closures before traveling. The anniversary photos and historical memorabilia are different displays with different listed end dates.
